BUCKHANNON — The Fairmont State Falcons used a full-court pressure defense to force the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats out of their offensive rhythm in the second half of Saturday’s WVIAC basketball matchup, as the Falcons pulled away for a 79-67 win.

Fairmont State outscored Wesleyan 15-7 in points off turnovers and, thanks to a slew of high-percentage shots on fast breaks, shot 61 percent from the field in the second half. The Falcons also shot 9-for-11 from the free-throw line over the final 20 minutes and 13-for-16 from the game, improving 15-4 overall and 13-2 in WVIAC action.
