Lady ‘Cats ranked 21st in preseason poll

BUCKHANNON — West Virginia Wesleyan’s softball Lady Bobcats have been voted 21st in the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association pre-season poll.

Coach Steve Warner’s Lady ‘Cats, who are coming off a historic run to the Sweet 16 a year ago, have been tabbed as the favorites to repeat as West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions.

They racked up an overall record of 43-14 and a WVIAC mark of 20-4 in 2012, capturing both the regular-season and tournament titles.
