PAINESVILLE, OHIO — Services for Donald W. Wilfong, 76, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville where friends may call Friday, Feb. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
Mr. Wilfong was born Nov. 18, 1936 in Buckhannon, W.Va. and passed away Feb. 11, 2013 at the Lake Health Madison Campus Emergency Department in Ohio.
Mr. Wilfong was employed by Lonza in Painesville Twp. for 30 years retiring in 1999.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of the Painesville Church of the Nazarene, V.F.W. Post 2595 in Painesville. American Legion Post 336 in Painesville and a former member of the Painesville Eagles Club. He enjoyed fishing and bowling.
He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by daughter, Sondra (Chuck) Wells of Perry, son Mark Wilfong of Painesville, grandchildren Misty (Jim) Love, Jeni Wilfong, Kristen (Sean) Connors and Brian(Jennifer) Wells, great-grandchildren Jimmy Love, Cora Connors and Lilly Love; brothers, Frank (Vera) Wilfong of Buckhannon, Glenn (Vivian) Wilfong of Pinson Ala., and a sister Bonnie (Ed) Hardman of Buckhannon.
