Trooper to teach firearms safety classes

BUCKHANNON — “Everyone has the responsibility to be safe from firearms,” according to State Police Trooper Cpl. Shannon Loudin.

Loudin will be teaching two classes on just that topic — firearm responsibility — this month. The first class will be for adults this Monday (Feb. 18) at 6:30 p.m. The second class, scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m., will be for parents, children and families.

Loudin stressed that this is not a concealed weapons permit class. He also noted that the classes will not be about taking a political stand on guns or gun control.
