The View from the Press Box: Little Lady Bucs’ basketball season was one to remember

How about those Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Little Lady Bucs!!

The varsity girls of coach Jeremy Maxwell manufactured a glittering 17-3 record, winning both the Robert L. Bland Holiday Hoopla Tournament and the post–season varsity tourney.

And coach Brian Allman’s junior varsity Little Lady Bucs posted a perfect 17-0 record, marking the first undefeated season for any B-UMS team in the school’s history. They also won the Robert L. Bland Holiday Hoopla Tournament and the post-season event.

The 34 victories racked up by the two squads are the most combined wins in the program’s history.
