GREENSBURG, Pa. — The Seton Hill Lady Griffins trailed for just 1 minute, 50 seconds Saturday in a 90-60 blowout win over the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats.
Atavia Blake’s layup four minutes into the game gave Wesleyan an 11-10 lead and Danesha Richardson made it 12-10 with a free throw. But when Paige Alvianni knocked down a 3-pointer with 14:10 left in the first half, Seton Hill regained the lead at 12-11 and stayed in the upper hand for the remaining 34 minutes of play.
Seton Hill’s Katie Gattuso led all scorers Saturday with 24 points, shooting 11-for-15 from the field and 2-for-5 from the free-throw line. Alviani followed with 20 points and Kelly Brennan scored 15 off the bench for the Lady Griffins, who upped their record to 15-11 overall and 12-8 in the WVIAC.
