PHILIPPI — The West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats snapped a five-game losing streak by grinding out a 49-47 road win Monday over the Alderson-Broaddus Lady Battlers.
Neither team led by more than four points during a back-and-forth first half, which saw the Lady Bobcats take a 25-23 halftime lead. However, Wesleyan opened the second half on a 12-2 run that cemented their lead for the remainder of the contest and Alderson-Broaddus’ potential game-tying shot at the buzzer fell off the mark.
