TENNERTON — The Philip Barbour Colts opened the second half of Thursday’s Big Ten Conference basketball game against the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers on a 17-2 run and maintained the upper hand the rest of the way in a 57-40 win.
After the two teams played to a 20-20 halftime tie, Philip Barbour outscored B-U 23-9 in the third quarter, with the duo of Antonio Dalton and Chance Price combining for 17 of those 23 points. Dalton scored a game-high 20 points, including 10 in the third quarter, and Price followed with 18 to help the Colts even their season record at 10-10.
With the loss, B-U fell to 2-19 overall and 1-14 in Big Ten play heading into Friday’s regular-season finale at Grafton.
