BUCKHANNON — Shirley Ann Adams, 74, of Buckhannon, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at her home. She was born July 20, 1938 in Webster Springs, a daughter of the late Foster and Lydia Brooks Cool.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years Garry Duane Adams. Also surviving are two daughters, Wilma Riffle of Buckhannon and Vickie Harmon of Virginia; two sons, Ron McQuain of Houston, Texas and Mark McQuain of Australia; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Carvil, Ray and Robert Cool all of Medina, Ohio and Roy Cool of Webster Springs and two sisters, Rita Dunkley of Virginia and Irene Taylor of South Carolina.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Cool.
Mrs. Adams was a wrapper operator for Moore Business Forms and was a member of the Ladies Aux. of the Buckhannon VFW Post 3663. Friends will be received today, Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
