CHARLESTON — West Virginia Wesleyan’s Bobcats divided a twin bill with Charleston’s Goden Eagles Saturday in their West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference openers.
The ‘Cats took the first clash by an 8-0 count on a classy six-hitter by lefty Aaron Adams, but dropped the second contest, 8-3. Sunday’s final matchup of the three-game Southern Division series was postponed.
The split left the ‘Cats with an overall record of 5-11 going into Wednesday’s doubleheader with the visiting Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals.
