BUCKHANNON — Three people from Upshur County were arrested Monday as part of a Lewis County Sheriff’s Department’s drug investigation.
Lewis County Sheriff Adam Gissy said the investigation “began immediately when I took office and went over the period of 2 ½ months.”
“We established reliable confidential informants, and that assisted us greatly, as well as community input,” he said.
Some of the drug cases are related, but most arrests were on an individual basis, according to Gissy. The drugs involved in the investigation included methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, hydrocodone, Clonazepam, Alprazolam and oxycodone. For the complete article see the 03-27-2013 issue.
