BUCKHANNON — The bookkeeper of two local businesses has been arrested for allegedly embezzling thousands of dollars from her employer.
Pamela Butcher, 43, of Buckhannon, was arrested by the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department for two counts of embezzlement.
Sheriff David Coffman said Butcher’s employer, Tom Shaw, first approached him a while ago out of concern that money was missing from his two businesses, TKS Contracting Inc. and Roustabout Services LLC.
Coffman credited Lt. Mark Davis for his investigation into the alleged embezzlement.
