Baseball Bucs win back-to-back Big Ten games

TENNERTON — The Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers’ batting order stayed hot in a pair of Big Ten Conference baseball games to open the week, combining for 22 base hits in a 12-9 win at North Marion Monday and a 15-3 win over Liberty at home Tuesday.

With the pair of wins, the Bucs improved to 8-6 overall and 7-1 in the Big Ten heading into Wednesday’s road game at Elkins. The Bucs, winners of five of their last six games, also ratcheted up their team batting average to .318 after exploding for 15 runs on 12 hits Tuesday.
