GRAFTON — The Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers bounced back from a stinging walk-off loss to a Big Ten Conference archrival with a road win Friday, keeping them above the .500 mark.

The Bucs gave up four runs in the seventh inning of Wednesday’s game at Elkins, committing two costly errors with two outs to extend the host Tigers’ comeback bid and surrendering the game-winning run on a walk-off hit-by-pitch.

B-U rebounded Thursday in another league game at Grafton, out-hitting the host Bearcats 12-5 and capitalizing on a complete-game pitching effort from Tyler Shreve. With the split of the two-day road trip, the Bucs stood at 9-7 heading into Saturday’s home contest against Lewis County.
