BUCKHANNON — Corhart Refractories has notified local officials of a planned layoff of approximately 64 employees this summer.
In a letter sent to the Upshur County Commission, Buckhannon Mayor Kenny Davidson and the West Virginia Dislocated Worker Unit, Saint-Gobain Sefpro/Corhart Refractories local plant manager Jay Martin said the layoffs would affect 64 employees with the earliest layoffs effective July 1.
The letter says the layoffs will not be permanent.
