PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — Aris Katholeen Parsons “Kay,” 92, of Punta Gorda, Fla. passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Charlotte Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 2, 1921 in Wilbur, W.Va. to George M. Sharp and Carrie Brenice (Jones) Sharp. Kay was a member of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church in Bridgeport, WVa.
She was employed by C & P Telephone Company of West Virginia where she held various positions before her retirement in 1983. Upon her retirement she relocated to Punta Gorda where she enjoyed many activities. Kay was an avid bridge player and enjoyed bowling, tennis, boating and traveling.
Kay is survived by her two daughters, Carol Ann Evans (Michael) of Ellicott City, Md. and Linda Kay Parsons (Dennis Walch) of Punta Gorda, Fla., and one grandson, Timothy Matthew Evans of New York City. She has one surviving sister, Juanita Eliason of Rockledge, Fla., as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin A. Parsons “Ted” in 2005. She also was predeceased by two sisters, Carol Virginia Bell and Mary Elizabeth Batchelor.
A private memorial service will be announced at a future date.
