Man arrested for firing gun near wife while drunk

A Buckhannon man was arrested Sunday after allegedly threatening to shoot his wife while drunk.

Robert Ehrlich, 51, was arrested for wanton endangerment and domestic battery, according to the criminal complaint in the Upshur County Magistrate Clerk’s office.

On Sunday, Ehrlich allegedly became highly intoxicated after drinking vodka and threatened to shoot his wife, according to the complaint.

When the victim turned around, Ehrlich allegedly fired a shot from a handgun and the round hit the wall near where the victim had been standing, according to the file.
