CHARLESTON The wait is over.
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin appointed Harrison County assistant prosecuting attorney Kurt W. Hall to fill the vacant seat of circuit judge of the 26th Judicial Circuit Thursday morning.
When reached by phone Thursday afternoon, Hall said receiving the appointment was an honor.
I feel honored that the governor had faith in me and thinks that I can do the job, he said.
Hall, a Democrat, also admitted to a feeling of relief after several months of waiting.
It was a process, he said. We had interviewed for it back in February, and I am glad the uncertainty is over. Im anxious to get started.
