ELKINS — A Buckhannon teenager who led officers on a high-speed chase through the streets of Elkins on Wednesday allegedly tested positive for drugs, according to the criminal complaint from the Randolph County Magistrate Clerk’s office.
Jordan Woody, 19, was arrested following a chase that reached speeds of greater than 110 mph at one point.
About 2 p.m. Wednesday, Randolph County sheriff’s deputy B.T. Sharp was in pursuit of a white SUV which had allegedly left the scene of a vehicle wreck along Route 92, according to the criminal complaint. Trooper First Class D.R. Wolford Jr. spotted a white 2012 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 turning right onto Davis Avenue and observed severe front-end damage to the vehicle.
