TENNERTON — In their first game under their new head coach, the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers came out swinging, but could not match the punches of the Bridgeport Indians for the full 48 minutes of Friday’s Big Ten Conference football game.

Bridgeport ran for 368 yards and seven touchdowns on 47 carries Friday, rumbling to a 47-28 win over the Bucs. The Indians piled up 19 points in the second quarter, turning a 14-7 lead at the end of one quarter into a 33-7 advantage.

Starting running back Anthony Bonamico and quarterback Anthony Caldera posted nearly identical statistics on the ground to lead the Indian offense. Bonamico ran 12 times for 93 yards and Caldera carried the ball 11 times for 94 yards. Each player scored a pair of touchdowns.
