MORGANTOWN — The University Hawks scored touchdowns every way imaginable Friday evening, as their offense scored multiple times on the ground and through the air, their special teams scored on a punt return and their defense scored on a fumble return in a 63-0 win over the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers.

The Hawks, ranked sixth in the Charleston Daily Mail Class AAA poll, allowed the Bucs just 134 yards total offense and forced six turnovers. The University defense recovered all five of the Bucs’ fumbles, picked off B-U quarterback Dillon Gaudet at the goal line on the Bucs’ most threatening drive of the first half and sniffed out a B-U fake punt late in the second quarter to score their final touchdown of the first half, putting the hosts up 35-0 at intermission.
