Mary Marie Compton Rexroad

TENNERTON óMary Marie Compton (Woody, Winters) Rexroad died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at Traditions at Bristol Village, Waverly, Ohio. She was born to the late Ray and Madge (Roby) Compton on July 25, 1930 in Upshur County. She was preceded in death by husbands Glenn Richard Woody, Richard O. Winters and Clinford Jackson Rexroad, infant son Glenn Richard Woody Jr., daughter Della Marie Woody Wireman and sister Glenna Jean Heater.

She is survived by daughters, Donna (F. Christian, deceased) Latta and Sandra (Byron) Brandt and son-in-law Darrell Wireman; her stepchildren, Donald R. Winters, Deborah G. Winters Ireland, Gary C. Winters and David Winters; and her sisters, Pauline Koonce, Lena Eskew and Silvia Crites. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. There were no strangers to Mary, and she made friends everywhere she went. She was always ready to help anyone she could and was loved by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be missed by all.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Traditions at Bristol Village for their professional and caring service.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral Chapel.
