BUCKHANNON — The West Virginia Wesleyan College men’s soccer team took another step toward the conference tournament on Saturday, upsetting the visiting Charleston Golden Eagles 2-1 to move into the fourth and final Mountain East tournament qualifying position.

The win was a bit of payback for the Bobcats, who had taken a licking in a 3-0 loss at Charleston back on Oct. 5. The ‘Cats are now 7-5-4 overall and 5-3-3 in conference play, three points in front of Wheeling Jesuit heading into a climactic battle in the Northern Panhandle on Tuesday afternoon.
