WESTON — Celia M. Beachler 99, of Middle Run Road, Weston passed away at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston following a brief illness.
She was born April 8, 1914 in Upshur County a daughter of the late Foster H. Waugh and Edith Sines Waugh.
On April 21, 1935 she married Dale H. Beachler Sr. and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage before his passing on March 22, 1986.
Surviving are two daughters: Dolores Baisden of Toledo, Ohio and Norma Jean Stalnaker and husband Ed of Weston; six grandchildren: James Baisden Jr., Steven Dale Baisden, Stephanie Dawn Hoover, Jason T. Stalnaker, Gregory L. Stalnaker and Rachel S. Delbeke; four great–grandchildren: Shaylee Hicks, Kyle Baisden, Julia Baisden, and BlakeBaisden; one brother, Denzil Waugh of Buckhannon and one sister, Geraldine Bailey of Parkersburg.
She was preceded in death by one son, Dale H. Beachler Jr., four brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Beachler was a busy homemaker who was an excellent cook and everyone enjoyed her sweet tea. She dearly loved her family and treasured the time she spent with them. She enjoyed canning, sewing, crocheting and flower gardening, with a special love for yellow roses and african violets.
She was a faithful member of the St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Weston.
Friends may call at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service 144 Hackers Creek Rd., Jane Lew Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jonathan Nettles officiating. Interment will follow in the Weston Masonic Cemetery.
