TENNERTON — The Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buccaneers went on a 17-0 run in the fourth quarter Thursday to take control for good in a 53-42 win over the Webster County Lady Highlanders.

Courtney Reed scored a season-high 24 points and Makayla Reynolds filled up the stat sheet with 12 points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, an assist and a steal. Reed and Reynolds both racked up double-digit point totals through the first three quarters, but a fourth foul forced Reynolds to the bench with 3:10 left in the third quarter.

When B-U head coach Tristen Gray reinserted Reynolds into the lineup with 6:41 left to play, however, his gamble paid off immediately. Reed nailed a jump shot nine seconds later, Reynolds followed with a traditional 3-point play 1:01 after that and the Lady Bucs were off and running on their 17-0 run.
