BUCKHANNON — Dorothy Jean Lewis, 69, of Buckhannon, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at her home.
She was born April 16, 1944 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Edward and Jean Ramey Teets.
On March 19, 1963 she married Thomas Lee Lewis who preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons Robert Allen Lewis and Thomas Lee Lewis Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Drema Mutum of Fairmont and Lisa Thompson and husband Steve of Tennessee; one son, Daniel Ray Lewis and wife Leann of Missouri; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three brothers, Edward Teets Jr. of Kansas and George and James Teets both of Fairmont.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Josie Tenney officiating. Burial will follow in the Upshur Co. Memorial Park in Tennerton. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
