B-UHS volleyball falls to Gilmer County

GLENVILLE — The Lady Bucs volleyball team gave good effort but just couldn’t grasp the win against Gilmer County on Tuesday. B-UHS had a total of 11 aces with Cadence Ringer in the lead with three. Meghan Bailey had an astounding 31 assists for the Buccaneers, followed by Caroline Frye, Kendal Currence and Shelby McDaniels.

The Lady Bucs played fantastic defense. Currence and Frye had a whopping total of 48 digs between the two of them with 24 each and Tori Perkins took 22. It was a close game and both teams played very well, but Gilmer County was able to pull out the win with an overall score of 3-1. 

The Lady Bucs will host University High School on Tuesday, October 26 at 6:00 p.m.
