TENNERTON — Buckhannon-Upshur High School took on Huntington at a home game Tuesday. The Bucs came in with a score of 2 just behind Huntington who finished with a score of 3.
As early as the second minute, Buckhannon-Upshur’s Zach Calef-Boring was assisted by Noah Radabaugh for the first goal of the game. Following in the third minute, Huntington’s Colson Parker shot a goal from 20 yards out off the Bucs goal keeper’s hands.
At the end of the first half, in the thirty-ninth minute, Buckhannon-Upshur’s Radabaugh assisted Julien Larcher for a goal dribbled in for a hard shot on the far post, just inside the penalty area.
The Bucs didn’t score in the second half of the game coming out one point behind Huntington for a score of 3 – 2.
Dalton Auvil of Buckhannon-Upshur contributed to the team with eight saves keeping the Bucs only one point behind Huntington.
“Tonight was our first night with all starters back healthy, so I feel once we get some practices under our belt and a few guys back in game shape we’ll be able to get back in our top form soon,” coach Donato stated.
