TENNERTON — The Buckhannon-Upshur High School girls’ soccer team hosted Morgantown High School on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, which resulted in an end tie.
The Lady Bucs’ Lexia Kelley assisted Ava Hollen in the 8th minute for a goal made from 25 yards out, over the keeper’s head, and into the left corner. Morgantown then made their first goal of the game in the 26th minute. Linsey Hackney shot from the left channel and over the keeper’s head, tying the game 1 – 1.
B-UHS came back in the second half for a lead of 2 – 1 when Catherine Oliveto dribbled the ball into the box, shot it off the keeper, and finished with a rebound. Morgantown tied the score at the end of the second half for the final score of 2 -2. Bella Cinco assisted Angelina Musilli with a cross from the sideline and over the keeper.
