Swimming Preview: Salem & WVU Tech

The Basics

The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s and women’s swimming teams will travel to Salem University for a tri-meet against the host Tigers and WVU Tech in the pool on Friday Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.

Last Time in the Pool

There were strong performances all round for the Bobcats in the MEC/GMAC relays Oct. 8-9. The women’s team finished fifth (third among MEC participants) whilst the men’s team finished sixth.

Quick Hits

There was a fifth place finish in the 3x100 butterfly for Morgan Choffin, Morgan Bennet and Alienor Dalle.

In the 3x100 back relay, Hannah Cook, Amanda Schlor, and Alayna Crane placed second (3:12.80).

Cook, Choffin, Dalle, and Schlor teamed up for a fifth place finish in the 800-free relay.

Jackson Igo, Ben Esposito, Russ Sutton, and Stephen Groves finished with a time of 5:20.90 in the men’s 500-free relay.

Jakob Bohland touched the wall first for the men’s team in the 100-free at the West Virginia State Games on October 9.
