Theta Xi teams with Way of Holiness to donate to UCPH

BUCKHANNON — The Kappa Tau chapter of Theta Xi at West Virginia Wesleyan College continued their philanthropy mission by teaming up with The Way of Holiness Church to provide $500 worth of food for the Parish House’s Easter Boxes on Friday.

“With all the uncertainty that is going on in the world and everything with the pandemic, we wanted to help The Parish House in making sure everyone has an Easter dinner. Any opportunity we can give back and serve the community, we wanted to take advantage of that,” said Theta Xi Alumus Chip Allen. “We could not do this without Pastor Jerry Murrell at The Way of Holiness Church, so we want to thank them for their generosity too.”

“It is refreshing to see how churches and agencies can work together for the good of the community,” said Pastor Murrell.

Parish House Director Kristi Wilkerson stated, “We are always tremendously grateful for any partner that comes and shares generously with us. This is really a great donation from Theta Xi Fraternity and The Way of Holiness Church. It helps us get ready for Easter food boxes and gets us on our way. It is really wonderful and we really appreciate it.”
