WVWC Golf Preview: Shriners Hospital for Kids Invitational

RAVENSWOOD — The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s and women’s golf teams will compete in the Shriners Hospital for Kids invitational this weekend (Oct. 23 and 24) at Green Hills Country Club in Ravenswood W.Va.

Quick Hits

•The women’s team placed 4th overall in the MEC Championship.

•Australian Kiana Toole made the MEC All-Tournament team after finishing in a tie for fifth place.

•The men’s team finished 9th overall in the Mountain East Conference Championship, with freshman Alexis Abalos finishing 26th.

•Davis Haynes recorded a 168 in his two rounds in the tournament, while Dan Morgret fired a 174.

•Rigel Wilson, Gavin Wilson, Miciah Kennedy, Kyle Racich, Indiana Eades, and Matthew Allen round out the men’s roster.

•Carleigh Bolyard finished 13th and played three rounds under 90 strokes. Remmey Lohr completed her first MEC tournament in a tie for 18th.

•Senior Emma Bryan finished in the top-10 at the Concord Invite, her first top-10 of the season.

•Geneva Brown of Chesapeake, Md. rounds out the women’s roster for Wesleyan.
